3-hour minimum. Moving tools, handling blankets and dollies are included for the work we perform. HHG Movers brings blankets and tools to protect and handle your items while moving them out of the home. What Labor-Only Moving Means

Labor-only moving is for customers who already have the transportation or simply need professional movers without an HHG Movers truck. Our crews can load, unload, move furniture within the same building, or provide packing help when packing is included in the job.

HHG Movers does not advertise a 2-person moving crew. Labor-only service is normally planned with 3 or 4 movers depending on the size and difficulty of the work.

Jobs We Show Up For

Rental Truck Loading & Unloading

If you rented a U-Haul, Budget, Penske, Enterprise or another moving truck, HHG Movers can provide the crew to load or unload it. We work from our Valdosta, Tifton and Albany markets throughout the South Georgia communities we serve.

Portable Storage Containers

Already have a PODS, U-Box, Pack Rat, U-Pack, SmartBox or similar container? We can provide the labor to load or unload it while you handle the container rental and transportation.

Storage Unit Loading & Unloading

Moving into or out of a self-storage unit, warehouse or other storage space? Our crew can load, unload and organize the move so your belongings are handled efficiently.

Freight Trailer Loading & Unloading

If a freight or moving trailer has been delivered to your property and you have arranged the transportation, HHG Movers can provide the labor to load or unload it. Tell us the trailer type and job details when requesting your quote.

Furniture Rearranging & In-Home Moving

No truck is required when the move stays on the property. We can help with room-to-room furniture moves, apartment-to-apartment moves within the same complex, rearranging furniture, preparing rooms for remodeling, or repositioning furniture for a home sale.

Office & Commercial Moving Labor

Businesses can also hire HHG Movers for labor-only moving when transportation is already arranged. This may include desks, office furniture, inventory and other approved business items.

Equipment and containers we commonly work with: U-Haul · Budget · Penske · Enterprise · PODS · U-Box · Pack Rat · U-Pack · SmartBox · self-storage units · freight and moving trailers

What Does Labor-Only Moving Cost?

3 movers: $195 per hour
4 movers: $295 per hour

Labor-only moving has a 3-hour minimum. Packing materials and other supplies are additional when required. For a broader explanation of HHG Movers pricing, visit the HHG Movers Pricing Guide.

Important Difference: HHG Truck vs. Your Truck or Container

Labor-only service means HHG Movers is providing the moving crew but is not providing or operating the customer's rental truck, portable storage container or third-party transportation equipment.

Because HHG Movers does not control the transportation portion of a labor-only move, the terms and protections that apply can differ from a full-service move performed with an HHG Movers truck. Ask us if you have questions about what applies to your specific job.

How to Keep Labor Time Down

Finish boxing loose household items before the crew arrives.
Clearly separate what is moving from what is staying.
Reserve parking or position the truck or container as close to the loading area as reasonably possible.
Tell us about stairs, elevators, long carries and difficult access before the move.
Tell us about pianos, safes, oversized furniture, gym equipment or other specialty items before booking so we can confirm the job and staff it correctly.
Have rental trucks, containers and storage units accessible before the crew arrives.
